Difference between a consonant and a vowel

State the difference between consonant and vowel in the English language, give examples for instance.

1. Consonant: Organs of speech form barrier and air –stream has to breath or get through the barrier. (some are voiceless, some are voiced)
2. Vowel : Organs of speech don’t form barrier and remain unchanging during the process of pronunciation. (all sounds are oral and voiced)./.
