The difference between the derived and compound adjectives is that derived adjectives are formed by adding the affixes to the root morpheme

Example:

–  Dishonest, impossible, unfair, careful, homeless, childlike, drinkable, destructive….

While the compound adjectives are the adjective formed by combining 2 or more 3 morphemes (Sometime a derivational morphemes can be applied ) together with and are often written with hyphen.

Example:

–  Noun + Past Participle : home-made

– Noun + adjective : world-famous, tax-free
